Kogi State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has called on State Government to put measures in place to ameliorate the sufferings of civil servants in the face of the recent fuel hike.

The call which is contained in a communique issued at the end of its monthly Congress meeting was signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Edoka Stella in Lokoja.

It equally called on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to consider the work-at-home policy as introduced by some State Governments across the country.

NAWOJ also appealed to the government to set up a tax force committee to monitor trailers coming to buy rice paddy from the State which has increased the price of the commodity and equally deprived the citizens access to the commodity.
