The Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the comprehensive transformation of the Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, in Mopa-Muro Local Government Area.
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, made this known while addressing the Provost and management team of the College during a courtesy visit to his office in Lokoja.
The Deputy Governor emphasised that the State Government will continue to collaborate with the newly appointed Provost and his team to elevate the college to greater heights.
Comrade Salifu noted that the vision of the Advance New Direction Government, led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, is to make Kogi the educational hub of the nation.
He urged the college’s management to fully support the new Provost in revitalising the institution, reiterating that the current administration is committed to the principle of One Kogi State.
He also commended the Provost, Dr. Kabir Ibrahim, for his outstanding track record at the State College of Education, Ankpa, and advised him to remain a worthy ambassador of the state by reflecting the Governor’s exemplary leadership style in his administration.
He described the Governor as a detribalised leader whose remarkable leadership has fostered unity across the state.
The Deputy Governor assured the college that his office remains open for consultations and support, while congratulating the Provost on his appointment.
Earlier, the Provost of the Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, Dr. Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, said the purpose of the visit was to officially notify the Deputy Governor of his appointment and to reaffirm his commitment to the service of the state.
Dr. Kabir pledged to build on the skills and experiences gained from his previous office, and vowed to transform the narrative of the College. He also appealed for greater support and advocacy toward the institution’s development.
