Kogi Government Commences Free Water Supply To Lokoja: Residents Express Appreciation

The residents of Angwan Yashi in Lokoja, Ward ‘C’, expressed great joy and gratitude for the free water supply provided by the state government.

As part of the Kogi State Government’s efforts to alleviate the impact of water scarcity caused by ongoing maintenance work on the Greater Lokoja Water Works, free portable water supply has been initiated for residents of Lokoja through water tankers on a daily basis.

The residents of Angwan Yashi in Lokoja, Ward ‘C’, expressed great joy and gratitude for the free water supply provided by the state government.

They praised the Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya Danladi Faruq, for addressing their water scarcity issues.

Reacting to the initiatives, residents, Ward Head representatives, APC leaders, and members of the Lokoja LGA Water Users Association, all commended the Kogi State government for supplying water to their communities.

They acknowledged that this initiative showcases the government’s dedication to providing essential services to all corners of the state.

Previously, these communities had to purchase water from vendors for the past two years. Now, they are benefiting from daily free water supply from the state water board.

They expressed their gratitude and promised to continue supporting the current administration through prayers for its continued success.
