Alhaji Ahmed Sule Chogudo, the Clerk of Kogi State House of Assembly, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and hope in 2025.
Chogudo made the call in his New Year message as contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Clerk Administration and General Service , Mr Aka Adebayo Michael and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
In his New Year message, Chogudo emphasised the importance of unity and tolerance among the tribes in Kogi State, encouraging the people and leaders to work together to advance the state.
He also described the New Year celebration as a time of love, renewal of hope, and faith.
Additionally, Chogudo commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for leading the way in paying the new minimum wage to civil servants.
He also commended the Governor for granting the long expected Financial Autonomy to the Legislative arm of government in the state and recounted achievements of the state governor in the last 11 months.
The Clerk commended the Governor’s resolve to turn things around, saying that within a very short time in office, he had touched almost every sector of the state economy positively.
He praised Governor Ododo particularly for the reconstruction of the Zone 8 to Crusher Road, saying that the project was a great relief and a soothing balm to civil servants who ply the road daily .
Chogudo stated that the approval and granting of Financial Autonomy to the state Assembly would go a long way in creating more enabling environment for legislators and staff to carry out their duties effortlessly.
He extended warm greetings to all Legislative staff and the entire Kogi citizens on the New Year celebration even as he further emphasized unity, hope, and resilience in 2025.
Chogudo prayed God to make the year, 2025, a peaceful, progressive and prosperous one for everyone.
