By Aisha Audu

In a bid to increase awareness about women empowerment and other related issues tailored towards strengthening the capacity of the girl-child, the Kogi State chapter of Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa (JMA), has pledged to intensify it’s campaign in schools in 2025.

This was the highlight of the association’s maiden meeting for the year 2025 held in Lokoja.

President of JMA Kogi Chapter, Hajia Fatima Yakubu, who made the disclosure, said the group aims to focus on sensitisation programmes in more schools this year, aligning with its objective.

She noted that JMA has been growing stronger daily and has benefited immensely from the state.

Hajia Yakubu used the forum to appreciate the National President, Hajia Rabi Salawa, for introducing JMA to Kogi State.

She attributed JMA’s progress to the contributions of its members.

Speaking earlier the convener, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, appreciated Hajia Yahaya’s contributions to JMA’s growth and thanked members for their assistance.

She advised women to support one another, emphasising that service to humanity was a gift and practice that most be imbibed and promoted by all.

JMA is a non-political organization that empowers women across Northern Nigeria, providing a nurturing environment for young innocent souls .
