From David Onuoja, Abuja

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has refuted the rumours making the round that, it has announced the 27th May 2025, as the date for the resumption of Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), and replacement of lost Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) in the Country.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of INEC, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, said, the attention of the Commission has been drawn to a misleading report about the resumption of the CVR and replacement of lost PVCs, described it as untrue.

He said, the report is untrue. “The Commission has not announced any resumption date for the CVR.

“We appeal to the public to disregard the false narrative”, he concluded.
