From Taiye Joseph, Ilorin

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two brothers, Alhaji Moshood Owoyale and Alhaji Abdulkazeem Owoyale, along with Alhaji Moshood’s wife, at Owoyale village along the Oro-Agbamu road in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The attack reportedly occurred on Saturday night at around 10:00 p.m. when the assailants stormed the village and whisked the victims away to an unknown location.

Confirming the incident in a statement on Sunday, the spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, ASP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, assured residents that security operatives are making efforts to secure the release of the victims.

“The Kwara State Police Command is aware of the unfortunate kidnap incident that occurred on 1st February 2025 at about 2200 hours. We have deployed tactical teams to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice,” she said.
