Govt officials, others surprise Deputy Governor with birthday celebration

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, was honored recently by Government officials, family and friends with an early morning birthday celebration at his official residence in Lokoja.

The event featured birthday songs amongst others and it brought together close associates, political leaders, and well-wishers in celebration of the Deputy Governor’s new age.

Some of the prominent early callers included the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Ayoade Folashade Arike, the State Command of the Nigeria Boys Brigade as well as Pastor Steve Adah of Lifeway International Church.

The gathering also featured a special prayer session, where heartfelt prayers for long life and prosperity were offered, just as they prayed God to grant him grace to enjoy the fruits of his labour.

In a goodwill message, Unubi Emmanuel, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, praised the Deputy Governor for his exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to the administration of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He noted that working with Comrade Salifu over the past few months, has been a tremendous privilege, providing him the opportunity to sharpen his professional skills and learn virtues such as humility, compassion, patience, and loyalty.

Emmanuel described the Deputy Governor as a true reflection of integrity and patience, expressing pride in serving under his guidance. He also commended Salifu’s commitment and loyalty to the state administration, acknowledging him as a reliable and dependable Deputy Chief Servant of Kogi State.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the success of the current administration, Emmanuel assured the Deputy Governor that the privilege was deeply appreciated.

He further prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him, wishing him sound health, the wisdom of Solomon, and the longevity to consistently support the Governor in moving Kogi State to greater heights.

The celebration concluded with joy and well-wishes as guests departed with renewed hope and admiration for the Deputy Governor’s leadership and service to the state.
