Gov Ododo vows to ensure no citizen goes to bed hungry

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has made a bold declaration that no citizen of the state will go to bed hungry during his tenure.

He made this statement at the launch of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Food Outreach Programme in Lokoja, emphasising his commitment to ensuring food security for all Kogi State residents.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring food security in Kogi State pledging that the state will not only support Federal Government initiatives but also expand its quarterly food distribution program to reach more vulnerable households.

He also commended the Food Outreach program of the Renewed Hope Initiative, describing it as a “timely and compassionate” intervention. Adding that the program is part of a broader effort to provide food interventions for vulnerable groups across the state.

He committed to empowering women and youth, highlighting that Kogi State has exceeded the 35% affirmative action target for women’s inclusion in government appointments and elective positions.

He pledged to continue implementing economic policies that benefit citizens, ensuring the State remains aligned with the fmFederal Government’s economic recovery and social welfare initiatives.

Governor Ododo also urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
