Federal University student kidnapped in Lokoja, murdered by abductor

A 100 level student of Federal University Lokoja, identified as Damilola, was reportedly murdered after being kidnapped in felele.

The suspect, a young man in his 20s, named Jeremiah from Kaduna State, has been arrested by the police.

Jeremiah allegedly abducted Damilola and took her to an uncompleted building. He then contacted her family, demanding a ransom of N400,000.

The family, desperate to save her, paid the ransom. However, despite receiving the money, the suspect is accused of killing Damilola and removing her vital organs, for rituals.

It was alledged that after the murder, Jeremiah contacted Damilola’s family again, demanding an additional N10 million.

This move led to a swift response from the police. Authorities were able to track him down and arrest him. During interrogation, Jeremiah confessed to the crime, stating that he acted alone and led the police to the location where he had left Damilola’s remains.

He claimed that he killed her because she had seen his face during the abduction.
