Ekiti Accord Party reaffirms support for Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim 2027 bid

The Accord Party in Ekiti State, has reaffirmed its support for the presidential ambition of Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring its readiness to mobilise extensive grassroots support for his candidacy across the state.

The declaration was made during the party’s governorship rally in Ado-Ekiti, which attracted party leaders, women groups, youth supporters, and grassroots members from various parts of the state.

Speaking at the rally, the Ekiti State Chairman of the Accord Party, Philip Adeniji, described the gathering as a clear demonstration of the party’s unity, commitment, and preparedness for future electoral contests.

According to him, members of the party remain firmly behind Olawepo-Hashim as the Accord Party’s presidential candidate, expressing confidence in his ability to provide a new direction for Nigeria.

“We gathered here today to reaffirm Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, as our presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, and we are throwing our full weight behind him,” Adeniji said.

“He remains our candidate, and nobody can change that. We will work tirelessly for him, and we are confident that he will emerge victorious.”

The party chairman further stated that Olawepo-Hashim possesses the leadership qualities and experience required to address the nation’s challenges and restore hope to Nigerians.

Also speaking, the Southwest Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, Alhaji Olaniru Abass, described the rally as evidence of the growing acceptance of Olawepo-Hashim’s political message across the Southwest and beyond.

According to him, the Accord Party presidential hopeful combines experience, vision, and national appeal needed to lead Nigeria at a critical period in its history.

“Our gathering here today is to reaffirm our support for Hashim as the candidate of the Accord Party. He is the leader many Nigerians are waiting for, and we are prepared to support his emergence,” Abass stated.

The Ekiti State Women Leader of the party, Funmilayo Adeyeye, assured supporters that women across the state would continue to play a leading role in grassroots mobilisation for the candidate, while urging the party’s national leadership to sustain support for his campaign.

Similarly, a party leader, Samuel Abiola, said the endorsement of Olawepo-Hashim reflected the confidence members have in his leadership qualities and vision for a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria.

The state campaign coordinator, Sunday Dada, maintained that the mandate given to Olawepo-Hashim by party members would not be compromised or surrendered to external interests.

The rally featured displays of banners and placards by enthusiastic supporters, who reiterated their commitment to the Accord Party and the presidential ambition of Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim ahead of the 2027 elections.
