The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Kwara State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In his message, Danladi-Salihu, emphasised the significance of reflecting on the life and teachings of the Prophet, urging all Muslims to embody the virtues of kindness, compassion, and the strengthening of communal ties.
“I am pleased to send my warmest felicitation to Kwara and Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, PBUH.
“In the spirit of the celebration, I would like to urge us all to keep reflecting on the noble and exemplary life the Prophet lived, as well as his teachings which centered around kindness, compassion, strengthening of brotherhood, and community relation.”
The Speaker also called on Nigerians to emulate the Prophet by displaying patriotism, expressing love for the country, and supporting the nation’s leaders through prayers for divine guidance.
He noted that such actions would ensure lasting peace, progress, and development for the country.
The Speaker’s message comes as Muslims worldwide celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, a day marked with prayers, reflection, and community activities.
