ECOWAS Network for Electoral Commission takes post election mission to Gambia

The ECOWAS Network for Electoral Commissions (ECONEC), has taken a Joint Post-Election Follow-up and Needs Assessment Mission to Gambia.

In a statement released and signed in Abuja by the Chief Press Secretary to the Nigeria Electoral body, Chief Rotimi Oyekanmi, said they were there on assessments mission.

The first point of call will be the ECOWAS Secretariat where the team would be received by the Head of the Secretariat in Gambia, Her Excellency, Ambassador Miata French.

The team will also visit the Independent Electoral Commission of Gambia to be receive by the Vice Chairman of the Commission, Joseph Colley, accompanied by the Commissioners and Management staff.

Those on attendance are the Vice Chairman, Joseph Colley, the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, ECONEC President, Mr. Konneh Mohammed Kwenewui the Gambian IEC Commissioners and other members of the ECONEC Assessment Team.
