Comrade Innocent Bola-Audu, has been reinstated as the National President of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN).

His reinstatement followed the National Industrial Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja, on February 27, 2025 which struck out all cases brought against him.

The court’s verdict, delivered by Justice R.B. Haastrup, nullified the emergency meeting of ASCSN’s Central Working Committee that purportedly removed Bola-Audu as President.

The suite number NICN/ABJ/238/2024, instituted against Comrade Bola-Audu, by the ASCSN, which has A.O. Odum, SAN, with Terhemba Gbashima, Esq for the claimant, and U.O. Sule, SAN, with Babatunde Adewusi, S. Haruna, J.U. Odenigbo and P.P. Eze for the defendant, has all the union’s national leaders wanting to remove the National President. However, his removal has been stopped by the court verdict.

Delivering judgement, Justice R.B. Haastrup said, “The process referred to by learned silks as encapsulated in the proceedings are all hereby struck out sequel to the oral applications made by respective counsel for the parties in this suit.

“Furthermore, the Interim Order of Court made on 12th August, 2024 is hereby vacated, the defendants counsel having orally prayed for the withdrawal of same.”

The court stated further that “Consequent upon the respective oral applications by the counsel for the parties in this suite, all applications filled alongside the amended complaint of the claimant filed on 29th January 2025 including processes of defendants thereto are all hereby struck out. For the avoidance of doubt this suit is accordingly struck out.”

This follows as the association officials withdrew all charges against the National President, Comrade Innocent Bola-Audu and has opted for an out-of-court settlement.
