The 21 Local Government Chairmen and 239 electoral ward councillors in Kogi State, have unanimously endorsed Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for a second term in office.

The endorsement was made following a motion by Hon. William Ameh, Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area, seconded by Obaromi Comfort, Chairperson of the Forum of Councillors, and unanimously accepted by the 21 local government chairmen and 239 ward councillors.

The endorsement was made on the sidelines of a three-day induction course for elected local government officials and key administrative staff from the 21 local government areas, currently underway in Lokoja.

The chairmen cited Governor Ododo’s unifying leadership and commitment to grassroots development as reasons for their endorsement, highlighting his administration’s investments in areas such as agriculture, education, healthcare, solid minerals, women and youth empowerment as key achievements that warrant a second term.
