From Taiye Joseph, Ilorin.

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Wole Oke, describing his demise as a significant loss to the state.

Until his death, Chief Oke was the Jagunmolu of Shao land and served as the leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly during the Second Republic.

He was also a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and a respected voice in community development and governance.

In a condolence message issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf, the Speaker described Chief Oke as a selfless leader who worked tirelessly for the peace, unity, and progress of Kwara State.
