Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has urged Muslims to embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and compassion, particularly towards the less privileged, as they begin this year’s Ramadan fasting.

He emphasised that Ramadan is a sacred period for introspection, devotion, and self-control, reminding Muslims of the importance of patience, sacrifice, and generosity.

In his message to the people of Kogi State, Governor Ododo, encouraged residents to promote love, peace, mutual respect, and understanding, regardless of their faith. He also urged Muslims to extend kindness to the underprivileged, promote justice, and pray for lasting peace, security, and development in Kogi State and Nigeria during the holy month.

The Governor’s message highlighted the significance of Ramadan as a time for spiritual reflection, worship, and self-discipline.
