Tragic news has hit Kwara State as Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, has died.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, Prince Mahe died in the early hours of Saturday, December 28, 2024.
The late Prince Mahe was laid to rest today, Saturday at his residence in Adewole Estate, Ilorin, following the Asr prayer.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Prince Mahe as “a perfect gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and statesman.”

In his tribute, the Governor extended condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the bereaved family, and members of the state’s cabinet.
“We ask for the understanding of everyone during this mournful period as the government and family grieve the quintessential public servant.
“We pray that Allah accepts his return, eases his accounts, admits him to Al-Jannah Firdaus, and upholds his family upon goodness,” the Governor said.
Prince Mahe is remembered for his unwavering dedication to the progress of Kwara State and his community, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service and exemplary leadership. May his soul rest in peace.
