Dr. Nayo Oladele, the Acting Chief Medical Director of Prince Abubakar Audu Teaching Hospital in Anyigba, is calling on the state government to prioritise staff welfare and rehabilitation facilities.

He believes this will boost productivity and service delivery at the hospital.

Dr. Oladele, made this appeal after defending the hospital’s 2025 budget at the Kogi State House of Assembly complex in Lokoja.

He highlighted the challenges ahead in 2025, including resource verification and the influx of students from the Health Sciences University for clinical training.

The hospital is also undergoing infrastructure renovations and hopes to recruit more clinical staff, including doctors and nursing consultants.

This is a step in the right direction, as quality healthcare is closely tied to the availability of skilled professionals and adequate facilities.
