Lokoja town is wearing a new look ahead of the planned 7-day cultural carnival

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is putting finishing touches to the decorations along major roads and roundabouts in the town.

The carnival is to hold in Idah, Okene, Kabba and Lokoja simultaneously.

According to organisers, the event is ment to showcase the rich and diverse culture, music and food of the people of the state. That is in addition to promoting the toursim potentials of the state rest of the world.

Members of the Council for Arts and Culture in state are expected to hold processions along the carnival routes in the four towns earmarked for the carnival.

Powered by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the event is scheduled to take place between 1st to 7th December,2024.
