Those who undergo the training after completion on Tuesday, were awarded with certificates and full tool kits to support their new skills, and a start-up fund of ₦150,000 including protective kits.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan during the event, reaffirmed her commitment to delivering more tangible democratic dividends to her constituents.

According to her, “the initiative was part of her efforts to create job opportunities and tackle the challenge of unemployment.

“Graduates are seeking for jobs instead of becoming employers of labour. As you complete this five-day workshop, remember that what you’ve learned is just the beginning. It’s time to leverage technology, expand your skills, and make yourself useful.

“As you finish this training, take intentional steps to brand and market yourselves.

“I equally, want to extend my gratitude to the Presidency and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation for making this possible. I also thank members of my political party and my team for their support.

“Many of you traveled far for this training. We in Ebiraland are hospitable and ready to integrate with the rest of Nigeria. We are peace-loving people,” she said.

The Senator from Kogi Central also encouraged the trainees to be exemplary ambassadors wherever they go.

The team of facilitators was led by Hon. Edmund Ana Bisong, Paul Eze, Engr. Miracle Ikechukwu Nwawuru, and Engr. Asuquo Bassey, among others.
