Hon. Kashim Ododo promises to prioritise dept in Upogoro community

The Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to the Kogi state Governor, Honourable Kasim Ododo, has held a community engagement session with members of Upogoro community and other stakeholders with a pledge to prioritise grassroots development.

The governor’s aide made the pledge during an appreciation and assessment visit to Upogoro community.

The visit was not only a gesture of appreciation for the unwavering support the community has shown during the governor’s legal battles but is an opportunity to demonstrate the government’s commitment to fostering goodwill and collaboration with its constituents.

During the visit, Hon Kashim Ododo expressed gratitude to the residents of Upogoro for their steadfast loyalty and support throughout the judicial hurdles faced by the governor.

While noting that the court cases were a pivotal phase in the administration’s efforts to sustain its mandate, the SA acknowledged that the support of Upogoro community was instrumental in navigating these complexities.

According to him, the strength of the community’s support played a crucial role in boosting the governor’s position and ensuring that the voice of the people remained paramount in the administration.

The courtesy visit also served as an avenue for the SA Domestic affairs to extend support to various groups within Upogoro community including; The Upogoro Peace makers, Upogoro ladies, youths and host of others.

The Government through this engagement, aims to reinforce its commitment to the development of community and welfare of residents.

Also during the visit, the SA on Domestic affairs interacted with community leaders and stakeholders of different groups, gathering insights into their needs and aspirations.

This engagement is in line with the administration’s proactive approach to their needs and how to address the challenges faced by the communities.

In a related manner, executives of a political group, “Progressive Parliament” paid a courtesy visit to the SA on Domestic Affairs, Hon Kasim Ododo to assure him of their unwavering support and committed to Governor Ododo’s administration.

In his response, Hon. Ododo appreciated the group for the visit and assured of inclusivity in governance by the current administration to accommodate all irrespective of political affiliation.
