Ododo returns to heroic welcome

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, received a hero’s welcome on his return to Lokoja, the state capital, following the recent Supreme Court judgment.

A massive crowd of enthusiastic supporters, youth and women groups, masquerades, motorbike and horse riders and other well-wishers, received Governor Ododo at Jamata and Nataco junctions.

Major streets were lined with crowds of well-wisher, cheering and waving as the Governor’s convoy made its way through the state capital.

The Governor rode in an open SUV waving to the cheering supporters before halting at Government House where another large crowd had converged to receive him amid wild jubilation and victory slogans.

Addressing the sea of enthusiastic supporters, Governor Ododo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the judiciary for upholding justice despite facing threats and blackmail. He emphasized that his victory was a testament to the will of the people of Kogi State, and not just a personal triumph.

In the midst of this joyous celebration, Governor Ododo took the opportunity to reaffirm his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Kogi State citizens. With a promise to deliver enhanced services and a stronger dedication to their wellbeing, the Governor’s message resonated deeply with the crowd.

“It’s not just a victory for me, but for the people of Kogi State,” he declared, his voice filled with emotion. “We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our citizens receive the best possible services, and that their wellbeing remains our top priority.”

As the Governor trekked with his supporters, shaking hands and exchanging greetings, it was clear that this was more than just a victory celebration – it was a renewed commitment to the people. The atmosphere was electric, filled with hope and optimism for a brighter future.

In a call for unity, Governor Ododo urged opposition parties to put aside their differences and join his administration in advancing the state’s development. He assured the people that his government would continue to work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy, promising a brighter future for all.

Governor Ododo expressed his deep appreciation for President Tinubu’s dedication to ensuring that the judiciary remains the last hope of the common man. He noted that this commitment has been a beacon of hope for many Nigerians, and a testament to the President’s leadership.

The Governor also pledged his administration’s support for President Tinubu’s programs and policies, emphasising the need for collective efforts to drive progress and development in Nigeria. By doing so, Governor Ododo demonstrated his commitment to collaboration and cooperation, recognising the importance of working together to achieve a brighter future for all Nigerians.

“We are grateful for President Tinubu’s leadership and his commitment to the welfare of Nigerians. We will continue to support his initiatives and work together to ensure that our citizens receive the best possible services and opportunities,” the Governor said.

As the celebration continued, it was clear that Governor Ododo’s victory was not just a win for him, but a win for the people of Kogi State. The sense of hope and optimism was palpable, and the Governor’s message of unity and progress resonated deeply with the crowd.

Abdullahi Bello, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, extended warm congratulations to the people of Kogi State for entrusting Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo with their mandate. He pledged the Party’s unwavering support in ensuring the delivery of good governance to the citizens.

Chairman Bello also urged Governor Ododo to prioritise the welfare of workers, acknowledging their significant contribution to his electoral success. He emphasised the need for the Governor to reciprocate their overwhelming support by addressing their concerns and improving their overall wellbeing.

He further expressed gratitude to former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for establishing a solid foundation for the state’s development. However, he also encouraged Governor Ododo to build upon this foundation and strive for even greater achievements.

Honourable Comfort Unwuchola, Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, spoke on behalf of the Legislators, pledging their unwavering support for the success of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration. She congratulated the Governor on his victory at the Supreme Court, acknowledging the significance of this milestone.
