University of Ilorin congratulates Yusuf Ali on OAU Award of Excellence

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN), has extended hearty congratulations to Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN), Principal Partner at Ghalib Chambers, for receiving the Award of Excellence in Research Practice from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

Prof. Egbewole, praised the award as “well-deserved,” highlighting Prof. Ali’s exemplary record in legal practice, academic scholarship, and community service.

He emphasised that Prof. Ali’s recognition by OAU, reflects his significant contributions to both national and global knowledge, as well as his impactful role as a distinguished alumnus of the university.

The Vice Chancellor noted Prof. Ali’s widespread influence across Nigerian universities, citing his remarkable efforts in advancing legal education, improving campus infrastructure, and providing philanthropic support to underprivileged students.

At the University of Ilorin, Prof. Ali has notably served as a pro-bono adjunct lecturer in the Faculty of Law for many years. His contributions include the donation of student hostels, lecture halls, and various financial and material resources to support different faculties and units within the university.

Prof. Egbewole expressed immense pride in Prof. Ali’s achievements and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.
