From David Onuoja, Abuja

The Abuja Electricity Distribution (AEDC) Plc, has asked all its customers with Prepaid Meters to purchase a minimum of N1000 electricity units to update their meters and avoid being disconnected.

A press statement signed and signed by the Head, Marketing Communications AEDC, Adefisayo Akinsanya, said its Distribution Company has embarked on a comprehensive meter update exercise to ensure optimal performance and accuracy of all prepaid meters.

According to her, “Customers are encouraged to participate in this initiative by loading a minimum of N1,000 to update their meters.

“This exercise is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the metering system, ensuring that customers are accurately billed for their electricity consumption,” she added.
