– To register 2,500 SMEs in Kogi Central

As part of efforts to grow and develop the economy in Kogi Central, Senator Natasha Akpoti -Uduaghan, is partnering with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), to register 2,500 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the district.
The deal was sealed on Tuesday when the CAC officials led by the Head, CAC FCT Zonal Office, Mr. Bello Muftau Esq met with the Senator at her office in the National Assembly, Abuja.
The registration, which will be done immediately, will be offered at a rate of N11,000 each. Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has committed to covering the total cost of N27,500,000 for the registration of all 2,500 SMEs.

The partnership geared towards supporting small business owners in meeting the government’s registration requirements and to promote business growth and development in the region.
Sen. Natasha assured that the registration drive will commence soon, while promising to organise a special conference to bring together the key players in the business ecosystem to forge synergy and collaboration towards business growth and development like regulatory bodies, Bank of Industry, and others.
She further encouraged CAC to strengthen its education and sensitisation efforts to inform business owners about the importance of registration and the benefits of compliance.
Responding, the CAC team, led by Mr. Bello Muftau Esq, lauded the partnership as a significant step towards promoting the ease of doing business in Nigeria, in line with the Commission’s mandate under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020.
He added that the Commission has put measures in place to promote the ease of doing business through simplification of the registration process, reduction of registration costs, reduction of costs, sensitisation, improvement of digital infrastructure, and incentives for business registration.
