The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), said that Afam2, Kainji1, and Egbin1 has recorded the highest utilisation levels of operations for the month of, August, 2026.
It also gave the August 2026 Operational Performance Fact-sheet which breaks down on how Nigeria’s grid-connected power plants performed during the month.
It Highlighted that the average Available Capacity is 4,758 MW, which is number available for dispatch during the month.
Average Load Factor is 86%, showing that 4,102 MW of the available generation capacity was utilised on average.
