The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), has said it is currently carrying out a rehabilitation of its four towers vandalized along the Afam-IPP-Elelenwo 132kV Double-Circuit Transmission Line.
The incident which was discovered on August 6, 2026, by the company’s line engineers from the Port Harcourt Region, said, Towers T50 to T53 were affected, with their tower members removed and carted away.
According to TCN statement issued on Monday, revealed that it is the fifth time vandals have carried attack on the same line in recent times.
“As rehabilitation work progresses, we enjoin all stakeholders to join hands to curb the menace that is threatening the stability of the national grid.
