• As Chief Edime Amade hails Ogah’s leadership style

The Kogi State Chapter of the City Boys Movement, is currently witnessing an unprecedented surge of new members with the registration of over 2, 000 individuals, associations and professionald within just few days of it’s ongoing registration.
At the time when The Graphic Newspaper visited the new Secretariat of the CBM, located opposite the Government House, Lokoja, thousands of people were seeing flocking the premise to join the movement.

An official told this reporter that, the explosive growth in numbers witnessed in recent days is not unconnected to the movement’s proactive stance on Youth empowerment and it’s commitment to fostering positive social change across all levels.
Speaking on the development, the Kogi State Director of the CBM, Hon. Mark Ogah, expressed delight with the overwhelming response from the people of the state, just as he pointed out that the influx of new members was a clear indication that, “our message of progressive, renewed hope and development resonates deeply with the people of Kogi state”.
” We welcome all new members with open arms and look forward to leveraging their support and commitment towards winning the forthcoming elections for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo”.
According to him, the CBM is very much committed towards strengthening its grassroots mobilisation and political coordination ahead of the 2027 general elections, and as such, no stone would be left unturned to ensure victory the APC led government.
In a related development, the State Director of the movement, Hon. Mark Oga, received the Senior Technical Advisor to the Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo and member of the elder advisory council of the City Boy movement, Hon. Edime Amade, during an inspection visit to the new Secretariat of the CBM.
The inspection provided an opportunity for the leadership of the movement and the Governor’s Senior Technical Advisor to assess the office space and the level of work done ahead of its inauguration which is slated on the 19th of September 2026.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Mark Oga expressed satisfaction with the development, just as he described the new Secretariat as a reflection of the growing structure, acceptance and organisational strength of the City Boy Movement in Kogi State.
He particularly commended Seyi Tinubu for what he described as his visionary leadership and commitment to creating an enabling environment for young Nigerians and grassroots political structures to thrive.
Chief Mark Ogah also expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the support extended to the State Directorate of the movement, particularly the provision of adequate security for its activities.
The State Director further emphasised that the City Boy Movement remained committed to constructive political engagement, grassroots mobilisation, youth participation and supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the developmental vision of Governor Ododo in Kogi State.
In his response, Hon. Edime Amade commended the CBM Director, Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah for what he described as his exceptional political capacity, organisational discipline and ability to coordinate the City Boy Movement effectively in Kogi State.
He said the rapid growth and visibility of the movement in the state was a reflection of the leadership qualities of its State Director and his ability to build bridges across political, community and youth structures.
Edime noted that the level of political access and visibility secured by the movement for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was not something that could be achieved by an unserious or poorly coordinated organisation.
He described Chief Mark Oga as a serious-minded political organiser who understands the importance of grassroots engagement, strategic networking and sustained mobilisation.
According to him, the growing structure of the City Boy Movement presents an important platform that can be leveraged to strengthen support for the President and consolidate the gains of the Ododo administration ahead of 2027.
The Senior Technical Advisor disclosed that the Kogi State Government was willing to synergise with the City Boy Movement in areas of grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement, with the objective of recording what he described as a “bumper harvest” of votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the 2027 elections.
Hon. Edime Amade encouraged the leadership and members of the movement to continue expanding their reach, engaging young people and maintaining peaceful relationships with communities and other stakeholders.
