The Adamawa State Police Command, has said Girei road fatal motor accident, has claimed six lives.
Statement by the police image maker SP Suleiman Nguroje, said preliminary report indicates that 6 persons lost their lives in the crash. The victims were rushed to a hospital where they were confirmed dead.
The command operatives from Girei Divisional, Federal Housing and the Central Motor Traffic Division were immediately mobilized to the scene to evacuate the victims as normal flow of traffic was restored.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, while commiserating with the families of the deceased, apappealed for calm, and ururged torists to drive with caution, obey traffic rules, and avoid overs peeding in order to prevent further loss of lives.
According to an eyewitness, accidents occur almost weekly on the Girei-Yola road where the crash happened, with lives lost each time. The witness has called on the government to urgently address the situation.
