The Kogi State Government House Press Crew, has celebrated the contributions of the Auditor-General for Local Government of the State, Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka, to transparency, accountability and good governance as he marks his birthday.
A congratulatory message signed by the Chairman of the Government House Press Crew, Abah Benjamin Eneojoh, a copy which was made available to The Graphic Newspaper in Lokoja, has desclosed.
According to the statement, the Press Crew commended Hon. Adabenege for his remarkable contributions to strengthening financial accountability and promoting responsible governance across the local government system in Kogi State.

“We particularly acknowledged the Auditor-General’s commitment to the welfare of the Press Crew and timely support for their programmes and events” the statement added.
The Press Crew further noted that Hon. Adabenege, since assumption of office as the Author General of Local Government has brought renewed focus to the importance of accountability and transparency in local government administration, adding further that his commitment to staff development and capacity building has further enhanced the effectiveness of his office.
The statement reads in part: “On behalf of the entire Kogi State Government House Press Crew, we warmly congratulate Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka on the occasion of his birthday. We celebrate not only his attainment of another year, but also his contributions to public service and the strengthening of accountability at the grassroots.”
The Press Crew described the celebrant as a meticulous and conscientious public servant who has continued to discharge his responsibilities with diligence, integrity and a strong sense of duty.
It pointed out that his efforts in ensuring proper scrutiny of financial activities and the prompt presentation of audit reports have contributed to the broader objective of promoting transparency and responsible governance in the state.
“We also want to expressed our appreciation for Hon. Adabenege’s cordial relationship with the media and his recognition of the important role of journalists in promoting transparency, public enlightenment and good governance.
“While celebrating his achievements, we prayed Almighty God to grant the Auditor-General renewed strength, sound health, greater wisdom and divine guidance in the discharge of his responsibilities.
“The Press Crew wished Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka many more years of fruitful service, greater accomplishments and fulfilment, while expressing confidence that he will continue to make valuable contributions to the development of Kogi State”, the statement concluded.
