Electricity Revenue collection for April 2026 hits ₦203.61bn -NERC

Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has announced that ₦203.61bn was collected as electricity revenue for the month of April, 2026; one of the highest in a recent time.

In a post statement on its X Account, NERC said out of N252.43bn total energy billed, the sum of N303.61b was collected.

It added that the billing efficiency stood at 83.32%, with total energy billed reaching ₦252.43bn out of ₦302.96bn energy received.

According to the record, the April 2026 report breakdown shows the financial health and efficiency of the Distribution Companies (DisCos) across the country.

The highlights of the collection efficiency recorded an increase of 80.66%, resulting in a total revenue collection of ₦203.61bn for the month.

NERC however, commended the revenue recovery performance which it said make the industry to reached an overall Recovery Efficiency of 82.11%, showing positive growth of 1.06% compared to the previous month.

Given credit to the top performers, it placed Eko distribution company as top with (102.09%), Abuja (89.77%), and Ikeja (88.89%) saying, DisCos stood out with the highest recovery efficiency levels for April.
