Igbo leader in Okene lauds Gov. Ododo’s security efforts

The President General of Igbo community in Ebira land, Chief Joseph Anikwe, has commended the proactive steps being taken by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, to address security challenges in the state.

The Igbo leader who gave the commendation during the week in Okene, also commended Governor Ododo over the recent procurement of armoured personnel carriers for the use of security agencies in the state. He expressed satisfaction over state government’s efforts to protect lives and properties of the citizens.

He added that the efforts of former governor Yahaya Bello and the present administration in the state has provided the enabling environment for businesses to thrive across the state.

Chief Anikwe then called on the people of the state to complement the efforts of the state government by being vigilante and report suspicious moves and acts to appropriate quarters.

The Igbo leader who also commended governor Ododo for his developmental efforts in other areas of governance. He pledged the continued support of the association.

He however, expressed worry over the rising threats to peace and security across the country, occasioned by the activities of terrorists, bandits and other criminal elements that have infiltrated the communities.
