P-GAT Industries Ltd, has announced a ₦300 billion mobility and infrastructure investment programme in Adamawa State, positioning the Northeast as a hub for sustainable transportation and economic growth.

The announcement was made on Thursday in Numan, by the company’s Chairman and President, Prime GA Timothy, ahead of the Affordable Transportation Solutions (ATRaS) Mobility Transition Summit 2026, scheduled for June 20, at the Pwanobato International Event Center.

‎Explaining why the summit was held in Numan, he said P-GAT Industries believes that communities outside state capitals deserve equal access to investment, innovation, enterprise development, and infrastructure expansion.

‎“By bringing this summit to Numan, we are demonstrating confidence in Adamawa State and the Northeast as emerging destinations for investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth,” he stated.

‎Speaking to journalists, Timothy described the summit as a transformative platform designed to catalyze investment, deepen regional integration, and unlock new opportunities for economic advancement across the Northeast.

‎He said, the summit will convene government officials, financial institutions, transport operators, infrastructure developers, technology providers, energy companies, traditional institutions, and international partners to chart practical pathways toward building an efficient, affordable, and sustainable transportation ecosystem.

‎According to him, the rising transportation costs have continued to erode household incomes, reduce business productivity, and limit access to education, employment, and markets, stressing that the ATRaS initiative was conceived to address these challenges while driving inclusive economic growth.

The ATRaS initiative includes, deployment of 300 electric tricycles in the first phase, affordable fares as low as ₦50 per drop,  integrated electric mobility solutions, charging infrastructure, fleet management, financing models, and workforce development strong focus on youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, and small business support of the total investment, ₦150 billion (50%) has been earmarked for the six Northeast states over the next three years.

‎He projected that the programme, ATRaS Mobility Ecosystem and its associated programmes would generate at least 50,000 direct jobs and another 50,000 indirect employment opportunities across transportation, logistics, energy, infrastructure, maintenance services, and enterprise development sectors.

Timothy described the summit as a platform to attract investment and foster collaboration among government, private sector, and international partners, while deliberately hosting it in Numan to promote balanced regional development beyond major cities.

The company views the ATRaS ecosystem as a broader strategy for economic empowerment, infrastructure growth, and transforming the Northeast’s image from challenges to opportunities.

‎Special emphasis, he said, would be placed on youth empowerment, women’s economic inclusion, small business development, household income generation, and community entrepreneurship.

‎The observers describe this as one of the largest mobility sector interventions in the region, P-GAT Industries further announced the launch of the ATRaS ₦300 Billion Fleet Integration and Transition Programme.

‎The company disclosed that 50 per cent of the programme’s total investment portfolio, amounting to ₦150 billion, has been earmarked for the six states of Northeast Nigeria over the next three years.

‎Calling for broad-based collaboration, the P-GAT chairman urged governments, development agencies, financial institutions, technology firms and traditional institution.
