Governor Ahamdu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state, has said that June 12, will remain the watershed of Nigeria’s political history and a reminder that power truly belongs to the people.

Fintiri stated while joining Nigerians in celebrating this year’s Democracy Day on June 12, a day that symbolizes the resilience, sacrifices, and triumph of the will of the people in our collective journey to nationhood.

He said it is the time to pay tribute to the heroes of democracy, living and departed, whose struggles and sacrifices entrenched the democratic governance we enjoy today. He noted that “June 12 remains a watershed in Nigeria’s political history and a reminder that power truly belongs to the people.”

Governor Fintiri said his administration has, in the last seven years, made significant strides in providing infrastructure with direct bearing on the economy and the lives of the people. “A demonstration that democracy can indeed work for the people.”
