Kogi State House of Assembly, has screened and confirmed the immediate past Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello as a commissioner in the State Executive Council.
This followed a letter from the Governor of the State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, to the legislature, nominating the new commissioner and urging the Assembly to screen him in compliance with the provisions of the law.

The Assembly, therefore, at the Committee of the Whole, screened the nominee and confirmed Hon. Bello, who is popularly referred to Dollar as a Commissioner.
Members used the screening opportunity to commend the former Chairman for sustaining APC’s winning streak under his leadership.
They expressed the hope that as a Commissioner, he would bring the same record into the executive arm, and ensure the apparatus of government in the State continue to operate perfectly for the betterment of the citizens.
