A non-governmental organization (NGO), Graceful Ladies Foundation, has donated school materials to no fewer than 30 students as part of it’s commitment to reducing the number of out-of-school children in the country.

The NGO has been actively supporting students with essential school items to improve access to education and reduce the financial burden on their families.

Some of the foundation’s key initiatives include distributing school bags, exercise books and sandals to underserved pupils.

The educational support programme currently in it’s 3rd phase , was held in Lokoja with the theme: “Support a Child Today for a Better Society”.

Speaking during the ceremony, the President of Graceful Ladies Foundation, Princess Grace Oguche, advised Nigerians to give children and students better access to education as a long-term investment as well as access to a better life in future.

She emphasised that every child was a spark of hope, a future fulfilled with potential and a promise of a brighter tomorrow hence the need to support them.

Oguche expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the foundation’s work, highlighting the collective efforts in supporting children and witnessing the profound impact of compassion, education, and opportunity.

She quoted from the books of James 1:27 and Proverbs 29:17, emphasising that serving the poor was an act of faith and a reflection of love for God and neighbours.

Oguche used the forum to appreciate Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s laudable achievement in the educational sector.

In his remarks, the Special Assistant to Governor Ododo on Labour Matters, who was represented by Dr. Samuel Atuluku, urged the foundation to recruit more members in view of the enormous task before it while encouraging the group to redouble its efforts in promoting education and keeping children in school.

Other speakers at the event including the Chairman of Kogi State Network of NGOs, Hamza Aliyu, promised 100% support. Just as they praised the foundation for it’s commitment towards enhancing the welfare of the people,

Driven by compassion, the foundation has touched countless lives, providing education, healthcare, and emotional support to children in orphanage homes and schools.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of stationaries and school fees to 30 students.
