KGSSTF donates operational vehicles to boost security

Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KGSSTF), has distributed five additional operational vehicles to strengthen security operations across the state.

The refurbished patrol vehicles were formally presented to security agencies including the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Nigerian Correctional Service, all of whom play critical roles in maintaining law and order across the state.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, AVM Omeiza Umar (Rtd), reiterated that the initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the Trust Fund to continuously support security agencies with essential operational logistics required to effectively combat crime and safeguard lives and properties.

He noted that mobility remains the most important tool in modern security operations, stressing that the refurbished patrol vehicles will significantly improve patrol coverage, enhance response time to distress calls, and strengthen coordination among security agencies.

The Executive Chairman further urged the beneficiary agencies to ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of the vehicles, stressing that the support is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and boosting the morale of personnel’s on the field.

According to him, the intervention is part of the Trust Fund’s broader mandate to complement government efforts in ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and investors in Kogi State.

The Executive Chairman also commended the dedication and sacrifices of security personnel’s serving across the state, assuring that the Trust Fund will continue to explore ways of providing additional support to enhance their operational effectiveness.

He further expressed deep appreciation to corporate Organisations, community leaders, and public-spirited individuals whose continued contributions to the Kogi State Security Trust Fund have made such interventions possible.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiary agencies, the Commandants Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant Aletan Ebenezer, expressed profound gratitude to KSSTF for the gesture, describing the support as timely and impactful.

He assured that the vehicles would be deployed strictly for operational duties to further strengthen security presence and protect communities across the state.
