Residents of the 500 Housing Units in Lokoja, Kogo State, are fed up with the deplorable state of their roads.

Potholes litter the roads, making the it almost impassable during the rainy season.

According to the residents, the situation has caused a lot of hardship for both pedestrians and motorists. Many said vehicles often break down or get stuck in the muddy parts of the road, making movement difficult and costly.

Alhaji Yunusa, a long‑time resident, said, “The roads have been like this for ages. When it rains, water floods everywhere and we can’t move.”

Commercial driver Mr. Yusuf Ibrahim added, “We spend a fortune fixing our vehicles because of these bad roads. Passengers even avoid the area.”

The community is urging the State Government to help fix the roads so business can thrive and movement becomes easier for all.
