In an effort to strengthen security operations, Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KSSTF), has handed over six refurbished vehicles to security agencies.

This initiative is aimed at fortifying the existing partnership between the state government and security agencies.

The vehicles were formally handed over to the State Command of the Nigeria Police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), at a presentation ceremony in Lokoja.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of KSSTF, AVM Omeiza Umar (rtd) stressed the importance of utilizing the vehicles effectively to improve patrols, response time, and overall security operations.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to use the vehicles wisely to maximize their impact in protecting lives and property.

Responding, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Aletan Olumide, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, BM Alhaji, who represented the Commissioner of Police, Miller Dantawaye, expressed their appreciation to the agency for the gesture.

They assured that the vehicles would be deployed strategically to enhance security interventions and thanked the State Government and KSSTF for their ongoing support in addressing security challenges.

The refurbished vehicles are expected to enhance the mobility and operational efficiency of the security agencies, contributing to the maintenance of peace and safety in Kogi State.
