Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, recently convened an extended security council meeting, where he received detailed reports on ongoing operations aimed at curbing criminal activities and strengthening peace across the state.

The closed-door meeting, which brought together heads of security agencies including the Police, Army, Navy, Air Force, DSS, NSCDC, Immigration, and NDLEA, also had in attendance senior government officials such as the Secretary to the State Government and the Attorney General.

Briefings from the security commanders, highlighted arrests, prosecutions, and the interception of dangerous weapons from non-state actors, underscoring intensified clearance operations currently underway.

Governor AbdulRazaq, commended the operatives for their resilience and sacrifices, assuring them of his administration’s continued support. “Our security men and women are putting in their best to keep Kwara safe. They deserve all the encouragement they can get,” he said.

He also urged residents to remain vigilant and to complement security efforts by volunteering credible information that can help prevent threats before they escalate.

The Governor stressed that public cooperation with security agencies remains vital to sustaining peace and stability in the state.
