Directorate of Cooperatives, Kogi State Ministry of Commerce and Industry ranks STTEB Cooperative Society as outstanding

The Directorate of Cooperatives, Kogi State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has said that the STTEB Cooperative Society is one of the outstanding Cooperative Societies in the State.
The Director of State Cooperatives, Alhaji Tenimu Momoh, made the remark recently in a message to the Annual General Meeting of the Cooperative held at the STTEB Cooperative House, State Secretariat Complex in Lokoja.
Alhaji Tenimu who was represented by Mr. Balogun Samuel, noted that from records, the Cooperative Society has done extremely well through prudent management of its finances as indicated through the capital base.
He urged the management to sustain the tempo, explaining that there should be no deviation from set goals in order to justify the confidence reposed in them.
According to him, where members money is, their minds will be there, hence the cooperators should do all within their reach to ensure effective representation at the management level.
The Director congratulated the management for attaining the feat and called on the new management to ensure the growth of the Cooperative Society which is already becoming one of the leading ones in the State.
While presenting the Audit report, Mrs. Akerejola Titilayo, said the STTEB Cooperative Society has over three hundred and seventy million naira as members’ savings as at December, 2022.
President of the Cooperative, Mr. Augustine Ojuh who was re-elected for another four year term in office, promised to do more to improve the economic status of members.
Mr. Augustine who enumerated some of the challenges, however, said his team will work hard through transparency and accountability which earned them re-election to overcome the challenges.
The STTEB Cooperative Society President, expressed appreciation to the members for the confidence reposed in him, adding that he will add value to the leadership of the society by being accountable to the members.
Mr. Augustine also urged Civil Servants to enroll as members in order to overcome their financial challenges with ease.
Meanwhile, others elected are Fadamijo Lydia as Vice President; Salisu Mohammed, Secretary; Abel Johnson, Assistant Secretary; Pastor Dele Sani, Treasurer.
The rest are Akande David as Chairman of Loans Committee; Anaja Agula, Loan Committee member East; Abayomi Remilekun, Loan Committee member West and Hawawu Muhammed, Loan Committee member Central.
