Prioritise economic policies – Cleric to FG

The Federal Government, has been urged to implement policies that will revitalise the economy and improve living standards across the nation.

The Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo, made this appeal in Ilorin at the “Beginning the Year with Praise” event at the Church Ilorin District Headquarters.

Speaking to journalists at the event, Prophet Alogbo emphasised the need for urgent action to address Nigeria’s infrastructural deficits, particularly in the power sector, to drive economic growth and development.

“The government must prioritise people-oriented policies to alleviate hunger and improve the lives of citizens,” Prophet Alogbo stated.

While acknowledging some of the government’s ongoing programs, the cleric encouraged Nigerians to support leaders at all levels.

He also assured that the Church would continue to intercede for the nation’s progress and success.

Delivering a sermon titled “Praising the Ancient of Days,” Pastor Ademola Popoola, called for justice, fairness, and honesty as key principles for building a strong and prosperous nation.

He urged the Federal Government to discard ineffective policies and ensure the timely and equitable payment of workers’ salaries. Pastor Popoola also encouraged Nigerians to embrace a culture of praise and gratitude to God.

The event reaffirmed the Church’s dedication to promoting national unity, progress, and moral values.
