In a move to deepen inter-agency cooperation, the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Nasiru Kankarfe, has paid a strategic courtesy visit to the office of Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KGSSTF), in Lokoja.

Discussions during the high-level engagement focused on forging a robust institutional partnership that would not only strengthen operational effectiveness but also boost the security architecture in the state.
Speaking during the visit, CP Kankarfe, underscored the importance of collective action in the fight against crime and called for deeper collaboration between the command and Kogi State Security Trust Fund for sustainable results.

CP Kankarfe praised Kogi State Government for setting up the Trust Fund while appreciating it’s support for security agencies.
He further acknowledged the impact of the fund’s logistics and operational support in improving the crime-fighting capacity of it’s partners.
CP Kankarfe then solicited greater collaboration from stakeholders through the sharing of information as well as involvement of communities to achieve lasting peace and address crime in the state.
In his response, the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KGSSTF), Air Vice Marshal, Omeiza Umar (rtd.) appreciated CP Kankarfe for the visit, reaffirming KGSSTF’s support for security agencies.
He said the Trust Fund was designed to complement government efforts by mobilizing resources for security tools.
AVM Umar then assured of continued partnership with the police and other agencies for enhanced safety in Kogi State.
Central to the dialogue was a mutual agreement by both leaders to boost cooperation and strategies for sustained peace and security in Kogi State .
