From Taiye Joseph, Ilorin

The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, has commended the appointment of Dr. Ibrahim Oloriegbe, as Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), describing it as a well-considered decision by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement released by his media aide, Mohammad Abdulkadri, Professor Sulaiman, noted that Dr. Oloriegbe’s vast experience in the medical field makes him the perfect fit for the role.

“This appointment is a clear case of putting a round peg in a round hole. Dr. Oloriegbe’s wealth of knowledge and experience at both national and international levels will be invaluable in repositioning the NHIA for greater efficiency,” Sulaiman stated.

He expressed confidence that Dr. Oloriegbe’s leadership would enhance healthcare accessibility for Nigerians and urged him to leverage his expertise to drive impactful reforms.
