The Speaker noted that it would be counter-productive if the Islamic faithful could assume such traits and then lose them after the month, noting the need for them to also sustain the attributes of continuous prayers.

In his words, “While I congratulate fellow Muslims on the celebration of Eid-El-Fitr, this is another opportunity for us all to remind each other about the virtues of Ramadan and the impact of the month-long fast on our lifestyle and our general conduct.

“We must not allow anything to make us lose the grounds we covered during the Holy Month. We must ensure those things that made us models in conduct are all sustained for the good of the society at large” he stressed.

The Speaker, who used the occasion to also congratulate the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the occasion of the Ramadan fast. He prayed to Allah to grant him good health and necessary requisition for the development of the State.

He also congratulated his colleagues in the Assembly for their dedication to legislative duties and prayed to Allah to sustain their efforts in providing the needed legislative wisdom for the growth of Kogi State.
