TCN confirms arrest of suspected vandals in Agbogwugu, Enugu State

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), has confirmed the arrest of three suspected vandals of power line installations in Agbogugu, Enugu State.

This achievement it said, came as a result of a collaborative effort between community members and law enforcement agents on Sunday, March 24, 2025.

In a statement by the Public Affairs Department of the Company, Ndidi Mbah said, the suspects were initially held at Agbogwugu police station, Ozalla, then moved to the state CID and finally transferred to prison after their first court appearance.

Transmission Company of Nigeria, has said that its officials are working closely with the police to ensure the vandals face justice.

This incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement to fight vandalism in the Country.

TCN, therefore, urged all host communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to security operatives or to TCN office closer to them.

“By joining forces, we can protect our communities and ensure a robust transmission grid. Prompt reporting of suspicious activities will greatly contribute to preventing such incidents and bringing perpetrators to justice.

“Vandalism is a an offence that affects everyone, undermining the nation’s efforts to provide a reliable and efficient transmission grid.”
