Hon. Anyebe urges Muslims to pray for unity, peace and security

Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Monday Anyebe, has urged Muslim faithful to pray for sustained peace, unity and progress of the state.

The Commissioner made the call while presenting Ramadan gifts to Muslims in his ministry in Lokoja.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Jibo Haruna, the commissioner said the gesture was aimed at identifying with Muslims during the Ramadan period.

He urged them to rededicate themselves to the service of God and humanity.

According to the commissioner, the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo was deeply committed to the welfare of the citizens and appealed for their continued support to ensure the governor’s success.

While urging staff of the ministry to remain united as one family for the progress and development of the sector, the commissioner commended Governor Ododo for his quality leadership.

Speaking on behalf of the staff and management, the Director of Administration of the Ministry, Mallam Ibraheem Yahaya, appreciated the commissioner for the timely gesture.

Mallam Yahaya noted that the gift would help alleviate some of the current hardship and expressed gratitude to the commissioner for his support.
