Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, is pushing for greater collaboration among security agencies in the state to strengthen the administration’s zero-tolerance policy for crime.

The Governor made this call during a meeting with Local Government Chairmen, vigilante service members and professional hunters at the Government House, Lokoja recently.

This move is part of Governor Ododo’s efforts to prioritise the safety and security of Kogi State citizens.

Governor Ododo stressed the importance of collaboration between local government chairmen, community leaders, and security operatives to create a safer environment for citizens in Kogi State. He emphasized that working together is crucial to ensuring the safety and security of residents.

Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, Tosin Olokun, who also serves as the chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) in the state, commended Governor Ododo’s initiative to collaborate with local government officials, vigilante groups, and professional hunters.

He emphasised that this move is a vital step towards enhancing grassroots security efforts and fostering synergy within the state’s security architecture, particularly in remote areas where conventional security agencies have limited presence.
