Lokoja LGA Chairman presents over N7bn budget to council

The Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has presented has presented 2025 appropriation bill estimate of N7,483,139,210 to the legislative house.

Speaking during the presentation to the legislative council, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu described the budget as balanced.

The Council Boss tasked the legislatures to carefully study and approve the budget in the interest of the development of the council while promising to ensure results without bias.

Tagged : Budget of Enviable and Unprecedented Transformation, Comrade Adamu, explained that the 2025 draft budget estimate was geared towards the fulfillment of his electioneering promises.

According to him, efforts are on to increase the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the local government, pointing out that many windows of revenue items were now open to the administration.

The break down of the budget as revealed by the chairman shows that the total sum of N7,483,139,210 was expected revenue from Statutory Allocation of N3,749, 131,380, VAT N3,090,618,550, IGR, N361,582,770 and Other Grants N326,806,510.

Similarly, personnel cost was put at N3,225,773,680, overhead N1,270,260,740 with total recurrent expenditure amounting to N4,496,034,420.

The capital Expenditure was allocated N232,860,890 whie Economic sector was put at N1,325,737,740 social sector N1,428,506,160 with total capital Expenditure amounting to N2,987,104,790.
